On the 1st of May 2016, I boarded a mini bus with a bunch of friends/family unknown of the fact that after a couple of hours I was going to witness one of the most beautiful views I had ever seen with my naked eyes. Lake Begnas, which lies about 1.5 hours away from the beautiful valley of Pokhara, is a place one MUST visit. It is secluded from the rest of the city and is separated from Lake Rupa by a small hill. This hut-like restaurant in the picture below, had the most generous people who not only provided us with their local vegetable-stuffed grilled fish, but also gave us a nice tour to the other side of the lake in their little boat. This was a true few hours of heaven! Many thanks to Mahasus dai, Sumir dai and the gang, without whom I would have missed an opportunity of a life-time.
